Singapore traffic wardens find Internet infamy
SINGAPORE, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Two Singapore traffic wardens got a taste of their own medicine when they were photographed having breakfast -- with their motorbikes parked illegally nearby -- after "busting" a rush hour motorist.
The unidentified motorist used his camera phone to film the pair after being annoyed when he spotted them taking pictures of his car in a bus lane, the Straits Times reported on Saturday.
He posted the video clip on the Internet's popular video-sharing Web site, YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v96fSeGWdE), the paper said.
In the two-minute video, the man is heard asking the wardens why their own vehicles were illegally parked -- to which one of the wardens replies they were just "doing our job" before brushing him off.
The newspaper said the the wardens were now in trouble with their employers, a local public transport company.
While not empowered to issue fines, the wardens can submit photographs of errant motorists to police for further action. The video has already been viewed thousands of times on YouTube, with normally staid Singaporeans gleefully praising the citizen ombudsman.
And this for laughs, here's another:

watch me self destruct
i gather what remains of myself and trudge along
through the fog, through the mire
there are roses by the bog side
corals in the swamp
tell me what should i make
of something this bizarre

The day before
Everybody I talk to has a CAP higher than mine. We can be bitching about slacking and not understanding a single shit, and suddenly I pop the question, "eh whats your cap ah?" and get the answer, "oh, 4.1 but that was just beginner's luck la!" funny though, they're in the same year as me so what beginner's luck?!
Time to study!

Singapore PM's salary stuns White House official
WASHINGTON (AFP) - A senior White House official on Tuesday admitted he was floored by the news that Singapore's prime minister earned five times more than US President George W. Bush .
"I'm going to emigrate and run for office in Singapore," the official said on condition he be identified only as "a senior administration official who sits in disbelief after reading that story."
On Monday, the Singapore government had announced a fresh 25.5 percent pay hike for Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, boosting his salary to 2.05 million dollars per year.
Bush gets paid 400,000 dollars per year for doing his job, according to the White House.
Combined with personal investment income, he and his wife Laura reported 618,694 dollars in taxable income in the 2005 fiscal year. They had to pay 187,768 dollars in federal taxes.
But maybe Bush shouldn't feel so bad. The Singaporean's paycheck is eight times fatter than Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's. - Yahoo! News

here we go
in the private sector, just because we earn less than the average new, inexperienced
PAP minister in Singapore." - Shinzo Abe, Japan's Prime Minister.
Did you know? For the price of one Lee Hsien Loong, we could afford to hire :
AND have about half a million dollars left over, to give away to charity.(1) one US President;
(2) one UK Prime Minister;
(3) one Japanese Prime Minister; AND
(4) one German Chancellor

Who am i
Casting Crowns - Who Am I
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wondering heart.
Not because of who I am.
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done.
But because of who you are.
Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow.
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord you catch me when I'm falling,
And you told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again
Who am I?
That the voice that calm the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.
Not because of who I am.
But because what of youve done.
Not because of what I've done.
But because of who you are.
Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow.
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord you catch me when I'm falling,
And you told me who I am.
I am yours.
Not because of who I am.
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done.
But because of who you are.
Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow.
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord you catch me when I'm falling,
You told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.
Whom shall I fear?
Whom shall I fear?
'Cuz I am yours.
I am yours.

a sinner's muse
waste and squalor,
the prodigal son
contemplates his return
the armor of God
rusting in the corner
engulfed in the pit
under layers of neglect
to reach out for
the hand of God
tirelessly extended,
the gift of His grace

I have a friend
un-clipping the runner underneath the overhang when down-climbing the NYP rock wall
falling on his head
falling in awkward positions
getting drunk and sticking wine bottles to his face
and apparently, this:
